This P2P 2023 conference workshop presented preliminary findings of a multi-year evaluation of Together Project’s Welcome Group Program to understand the role technology plays in refugee settlement and integration, by comparing the experiences of Welcome Group matches that interact primarily virtually with those that interact both in-person and remotely. The Welcome Group Program matches volunteers with refugee newcomer households to provide social support over a period of six months.

This November 2021 webinar presented lessons learned by York University Refugee Research Network related Knowledge Moblization. The workshop covered best practices, tools and templates for achieving research impact through planning an effective Knowledge Mobilization plan.

In this September 2021 Research Impact session, MacKinley Darlington, Knowledge Engagement Manager at the University of Calgary delivered a presentation on the Knowledge Engagement Impact Assessment Toolkit. She discussed Knowledge engagement, the REAP self-assessment framework, the Knowledge Engagement Impact Assessment Toolkit, and next steps you can take with the Knowledge Engagement Impact Assessment Toolkit.

In this January 2023 Research Impact Canada webinar launched their first webinar presenter Imane Khozam discussed how to plan knowledge sharing for impactful workforce development programs. The session included an introduction to knowledge mobilization, an understanding of knowledge mobilization and its importance in the context of skills and workforce development, tools and practical guides on knowledge dissemination and uptake, and examples of effective knowledge mobilization activities.

This July 2023 session provided an overview of the intersections of knowledge mobilization, leadership and the power of collaborative relationships. A focus on values and capacity building in the context of a project team was explored and ways to harness leadership for effective knowledge mobilization were introduced.

This October 18, 2023 Future Skills Centre Community of Practice webinar was a peer learning group event created for professionals to discuss the evolving role of career development practitioners in the age of AI and strategies for effective AI tool integration into services.

Issues of Equity, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI) have raised in the public's consciousness. In this March 2021 Innovation York webinar two community activists and emerging scholars share their perspectives around redefining the community-campus relationship with perspective to issues around EDI.

This November 2023 Wellesley Institute webinar presents findings from the report Reimagining Funding and Service Delivery for Newcomers: Lessons from the Literature and Stakeholders. This project explored how newcomer settlement and integration outcomes are impacted by the current model of funding and service delivery.
