I was honoured to be asked to present at The Immigrant Education Society's event Celebrate e-Learning with TIES: Innovation + Inspiration in the Nonprofit Sector. I've joined Tech Stewardship's self-directed course and this week went through one question that I think is important for us all to reflect on: what is the default trajectory of humanity's relationship with technology? We're asked to rank where we are on a scale from 1 (pessimistic) to 10 (optimistic).

Recently I wrote about tech we're not talking about in our sector. I’m hoping to explore many of these technologies. In this article I’m looking at  AI copywriting and video creation sites. There's a lot of potential, and things to think about here.

Please have a policy to always disclose salary, as not doing so perpetuates racial and gender wage gaps.

We'll do what we always do, which is to be resilient and innovative in the face of uncertainty and adversity and lack of leadership when it comes to digital. I hope to play a small role in working with the sector on all of that, but it's up to all of us to share, learn, work, and build together.

In this session with the Peel Newcomer Strategy Group, I was invited to speak about how organizations can advance the collective conversation on hybrid and digital service improvements regionally and where we might see opportunities to align with recent recommendations of the National Steering Committee on Technology (NSCT) focused on the Canadian settlement sector.
