On September 22, 2021, The WE Value Partnership project held their WE Value Partnership Final Forum. Project staff provide a recap of where we have been and a sneak peek into some of the work that they hope to undertake in the coming months. I was honoured to provide a keynote presentation covering the potential and future of technology in the sector.

If you're not familiar with the WE Value project, it's an IRCC Service Delivery Improvement (SDI) funded project focused on creating data management system supports better outcomes for newcomers by providing service providers with the information they need for user-centred service delivery. You can find a good backgrounder on the Cities of Migration site, as well as on the WE Value project site, including this excellent archive of sharing their work in progress over time. In essence, WE Value created “K2: Pathway to Settlement”, a custom configuration of Salesforce, the well known cloud-based Client Relationship Management (CRM) technology.

What's super cool about the project is that their core technology, K2, has been replicated as the foundation for Gateway Connects in Calgary. There is potential for our entire sector to learn from this work. This event provides you with a good overview of the project, their progress to date, and what's possible in the future.

You will also hear from a previous WE Value client, Dr. Reza Nakaie, and some of WE Value's partners from Calgary.
