Strengthening communities through digital inclusion (webinar recording)

By: Marco Campana
April 2, 2024

This March 2024 webinar focused on the question of digital inclusion and the digital divide in the UK. Presenters sought to answer these questions and more: How can the public and private sectors work together to solve this problem? What role can tech suppliers play in tackling digital exclusion and helping to end digital poverty? And why is it so important to get this right?

Digital access and skills are essential to enabling people to fully participate in our increasingly technology-dependent society. Yet in the UK 10.2 million people lack the most basic digital skills and 1 in 14 households have no home internet access at all.

Speakers:

  • Elizabeth Anderson, CEO of Digital Poverty Alliance
  • Evie Metcalfe, Social Value Lead at Virgin Media O2 Business
  • Beena Puri, Digital Innovation and Partnerships Lead at GMCA
